Goals for 2/13 week

Goals:

Fabrication work: 

1) Finish 2.5″ Pins

  • Grind in grease channels: Monday 2/13
  • Weld Washers/make washers (2/14): Monday- changed. will weld washers when assembling machine, as the pins may need to be sanded down a bit to fit better in bushings.
  • Order TR: Monday. Should either receive then at Ababa Bolt, or a few days later from Grainger, depending on price.  2/13
  • Weld and grind TR: as soon as TR is received.
  • Install Grease fitting: on final machine installation

2) Prepare bushings

  • Order monday or tuesday  2/13
  • Research cost of hardening, find place to do it: 2/14 Will do it at Certified Metal Craft for $85
  • Machine to Size: when received- 2/14
  • Take to be hardened: after machined- 2/15

3) Vertical Linkages

  • Purchase Materials: Tuesday Not done yet, to be completed wednesday. 2/15 will receive fri or mon,
  • Torch, Grind: Thursday
  • Bore big holes: Thursday
  • Drill 3/4″ hole: Thursday
  • Drill and tap grease fitting holes: Thursday
  • To be finished once I receive hardened bushings. They will be “freeze fit” into place, possibly both at once to insure fit. After this, rubbing surface will be surfaced. Grease fittings to be installed in place.

4) Main Linkage

  • Purchase Materials: Tuesday– Not done yet, to be completed wednesday. 2/15
  • Torch, grind: Friday- Note: Reliance Steel said they can torch to size at no additional cost, so they will do the torching, I just have to make the specs and send them. 2/14
  • Bore holes: Friday
  • To be finished once I receive hardened bushings. They will be “freeze fit” into place, possibly both at once to insure fit. After this, rubbing surface will be surfaced.
Non-fab work:
1) Model upper arm for half-moons
2) Do calc’s and post to prove:
  • Main Pin supports thickness
  • capability to shear angle 2/13
  • size of vertical supports

If I finish all these, or materials take a long time to arrive:

1) Main Linkage Holder

  • Materials from Enniss
  • Torch, grind
  • Bore Holes, or drill smaller holes
  • Tap mounting holes for table
  • To be finished once I receive hardened bushings. They will be “freeze fit” into place, possibly both at once to insure fit. After this, rubbing surface will be surfaced.

2) Main Pin Holder

  • Materials from Enniss
  • Torch, grind
  • Bore Holes, or drill smaller holes.
  • To be finished once I receive hardened bushings. They will be “freeze fit” into place, possibly both at once to insure fit. After this, rubbing surface will be surfaced.

3) Punch Table:

  • Materials from Enniss
  • Torch, Grind
  • Drill, mill mounting holes
  • Fab die holder, weld in place.
